Eagle Scout project benefits turtles
The staff, volunteers and turtles at the Fountain Creek Nature Center are thanking a Boy Scout for making life a little better for turtles who live there. Tyler Blixt, a junior at Cheyenne Mountain High School and member of Troop 110, recently completed his Eagle Scout project at Fountain Creek Nature Center. According to staff, the Nature Center pond used to have a few logs that turtles enjoyed basking on, but over time they sank or floated away.
