Firefighters responded to an early-morning house fire on El Vereda Drive, south of C&S Road in Fountain, on Monday, April 18.
When crews arrived, they found a two-story, single-family residential building engulfed in flames. Firefighters from Security, Stratmoor Hills, Hanover, and Fort Carson fire departments responded as well.
The fire was under control at 3:35 a.m., and the last fire apparatus cleared the scene at 7:26. The occupants of the home were alerted to the fire by properly working smoke detectors, the department noted in a media release. No injuries were reported to any civilian...
