Fort Carson represented in Regional Cavalry Competition

Sgt. Justin Robinson, a motor transport operator on special duty with the 4th Infantry Division Fort Carson Mounted Color Guard, and Staff Sgt. Link, his horse, cross through an obstacle in the saber category of the Regional Cavalry Competition. All Soldiers have trained on multiple skills to include Military and Combat Horsemanship, and other equestrian skills such as the saber attack.

Soldiers from Fort Carson participated in the Regional Cavalry Competition at the Fort Concho National Historic Landmark, San Angelo, Texas, last week.

Sgt. Vincent Aquino, a wheeled vehicle mechanic on special duty with the 4th Infantry Division Mounted Color Guard, and his horse, Sgt. Maj. Tank, jump an obstacle during the pistol event of the Regional Cavalry Competition. This competition was Tank's final, as he will retire in the summer from the Mounted Color Guard and the U.S. Army.
