Shows a suspect with the stolen truck in Colorado Springs the day it was stolen.

A white Ford F-350 truck was stolen from Widefield Water and Sanitation on April 21, prompting district officials to ask the public to be on the lookout.

Before long, one astute woman provided video footage of the same truck at a storage unit in Colorado Springs, where someone can be heard accusing the driver of the truck - an unidentified male - of getting into her vehicle moments earlier.

On April 25, the district announced the truck had been found and returned.

The truck had a district logo, prompting the district to warn customers that if someone approaches their home and claims to be a district employee, residents should know that "all of our field staff wear a District uniform and carry a District employee badge. If you are unsure, please call our office immediately at 719-390-7111." The after-hours emergency numbers are 719-392-5534 or 719-392-8848.

The male suspect caught on camera is described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old. He is approximately 6 feet tall, and has a thin build and short brown hair.

If you have any information about this incident, please call Detective Kleeb at (719) 382-4255.

To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (719) 634-STOP (7867) or If your information leads to a felony arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
