Events at the Security Public Library:

Medicare Classes (Virtual)

Medicare can be confusing! Whether you have been on it for years or are starting to explore your options, this series will lay the groundwork for the knowledge and tools vital for understanding and enrolling into Medicare. Classes are provided free of charge through Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging. Each class is at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required. Go online or call the library for help or more information:

May 4th - Medicare Eligibility and Coverage (Parts A and B)

May 11th - Medicare Options (Medigap and Medicare Advantage Plans)

May 18th - Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage)

May 25th - Other Health Insurance Options (PERA, COBRA, FEHB, Tri-Care, Medicaid, and Employer Group Insurance)

Mini Mysteries

In celebration of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Birthday (May 22) and it being Mystery Month, we challenge you to solve the case! Each week, we will have a new mini mystery for you to puzzle through. Find them in the library or on our website. One winner will be selected each week!

Library Ghost Hunt - Friday, May 13

Legend has it that there are some strange and unexplained phenomenon happening in the library. Be part of the group that gets to the bottom of this mystery by using our brand new Ghost Hunting Kit (also available for check out!). Put your name in the hat starting May 3rd (National Paranormal Day) through May 6th, and we will notify you if you are selected for one of the limited spots! You can enter yourself and up to one more person (18+). Stop by the library, email [email protected], or call 719-391-3190 to enter!
