YMCA burglary suspect arrested

On Tuesday, May 3, the Fountain Police Department was notified by staff members of the Fountain Valley YMCA, 326 W. Alabama Ave., of a burglary that occurred in the early morning hours.
Detectives with the Directed Investigation Community Engagement Team (D.I.C.E.) identified the suspect as 29-year-old Michael Vialpando. On Wednesday, a search warrant was conducted in the 100 block of Cherry Circle and Vialpando was arrested. Detectives also recovered the property that had been stolen from the YMCA at the residence.
Vialpando is being charged with: Theft and 2nd Degree Burglary. Vialpando is currently on probation for burglary in which he pled guilty to burglarizing the City of Fountain Housing Authority in December of 2021.
