Fountain begins "sweeps" of homeless camps in the area

Fountain Police and Neighborhood Services employees make contact with a woman living in a tent on Tuesday, May 10. The crew spent the morning looking for homeless campsites to address any problems there may be and to discuss resources available to the people camped there. These "sweeps" will occur monthly through the summer in an attempt to identify issues before they become major problems, officials said. Next week's Fountain Valley News will have Part 2 of a series on homelessness in the region, with a focus on how law enforcement deals with it.
