Public comment on Powers extension still open

Members of the Fountain City Council, CDOT and El Paso County attended an open house on the proposed Powers Boulevard extension on May 26 at Fountain City Hall.

On Wednesday, May 25, El Paso County and the Colorado Department of Transportation jointly held an open house in Fountain City Hall to show the public the research and possible routes for the extension of Powers Boulevard south of Fountain to connect with I-25.

About 25-30 people showed up to see photos, graphs, and information used so far in the process of determining how to proceed. There were several representatives on hand to answer questions about the project, which has been in the works for the past 22 years.
