First female commander at Purple Heart chapter

Sgt. E5 Niki Gibson was elected and sworn in as commander of Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 423 in Fountain. Gibson is its first female commander. She served with the 108th Military Police Company. She was wounded in action at COP Callahan, a combat outpost north of Baghdad, Iraq. The MOPH Chapter 423 meets from 10:30 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month at the chapter house, 2 Carson Circle, Fountain. All holders of the Purple Heart are invited to attend.
