The Primary Election on June 28 included a number of contested races in El Paso County and around Colorado. Here in the Fountain Valley, the following races were some of the most relevant to area voters. Results will be updated throughout the week.
State Senate District 11
Democrats – Tony Exum (54%) and Yolanda L. Avila (46%)
(Republican Dennis Hisey, previously representing State Senate District 2, ran unopposed in the Republican primary.)
U.S. Congress District 5
Democrats – David Torres (55%) and Michael C. Columbe (45%)
