Results of surveys show support for public safety

The audience listens as the results of a public safety funding survey are presented to the Fountain City Council on June 28.

The majority of Fountain residents surveyed about possible ballot measures to increase funding for Public Safety and Streets said they were in support of such tax increases, but maybe not at the same time.

That's one of the takeaways from two recent surveys, which were discussed in detail at the June 28 City Council meeting.

A decision on whether to place one or both items on the ballot likely will be made July 12.
