Dog's cancer treatment fundraiser underway

Last updated 7/20/2022 at 10:41am

Kelsey is a local 9-year-old pet dog about to undergo surgery and treatment for a cancerous tumor.

A Fountain Valley area man is trying to raise funds to pay for his beloved dog's cancer surgery and numerous treatments. He's asking the community to help chip in even a little bit to ease the financial burden of the costly procedure to save 9-year-old Kelsey.

Surgery is set for early August. Surgery is $4,500, and chemo will be another $2,500 to $5,000 depending on the number of sessions.

Here is the story from Kelsey's owner, Johnny Sinko:

"Hello all, we are in dire need for communal support. Kelsey is our nine year-old pet dog, dearly loved and adorned by her family. Recently, on June 3rd, during one of the most difficult times for our family, Kelsey was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her vaginal region, and she is in desperate need of invasive surgery to remove the tumor, adding years to her life where she can continue to show her innate love and emotional support towards her family. After the surgery, Kelsey will need a series of 5-10 chemo therapy sessions, at $500 for one session of chemo therapy.

Kelsey has two sisters who are cats, three brother dogs and one brother cat. Kelsey is our babygirl and as we pray for her everyday, we wholeheartedly and humbly request your benevolent acts of kindness in supporting our beautiful, beloved Kelsey.

The surgery and chemo therapy sessions are THE only options for our family.

Our fur babies greatly appreciate your support. Please help us and if you are unable to donate, please share this for others to see. Thank you all, so very much to providing an one in a life time opportunity for Kelsey to bring smiles and love to every soul she encounters."
