Great memories from the fair

Good morning. I hope all are doing great this week. This week I wanted to thank all those who came out in support of the El Paso County Fair. I was able to attend portions of three days, and enjoyed a great time. And as always happens this time of year we got to see some afternoon rain and several splendid displays of nature's fireworks, lightning, a couple of times. I've attached a couple of photos from the Fair, including one of the Reserve Champion black bunny, a very proud looking goat, and one young lady who was clearly putting all her strength into getting her great looking steer into the right place for the crowd. The final day of the Fair included the Junior Livestock Sale, which broke several local sale price records in various categories. It was great to see such outstanding support for the youth that day.

Also, the summer is a great time to get out and enjoy the Fountain Creek Nature Center. There are several exciting events planned for August. All programs require pre-registration. ONLINE REGISTRATION is available at
