In Loving Memory of Frances Colorado

August 1, 1928 - August 26, 2022

Frances Colorado, long-time Fountain resident, entered eternal life on August 26, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Frances, 94, was born in Mineral Hill, New Mexico, on August 1, 1928, to Bill Reed and Maria Trujillo.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Colorado; daughter Inez Colorado; grandchildren Marc and Angela Abeyta; brothers Victor, Daniel and Moses Abeyta; and sisters Virginia and Lorraine Lopez.

She retired from Western Forge after 21 years of service and also served as a Nurses Aide at Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed camping, travelling, quilting, crocheting, watching the Broncos play and spending time with family.

Frances is survived by her son Bob (Josie) Colorado; sisters Christella Abeyta, Vicky Sandoval, Cecilia Montalvo, Julia Chevira; grandchildren Nick (Brandon), Felicia (Shawn); great-grandchildren Ashley, Jacob, Leah, Landen, Ava and Layla; great-great-grandchild Piper; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral arrangements: September 15, 2022, at St. Dominic Church located on 5354 U.S. Highway 85/87. Viewing 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Rosary 10:30 a.m., Mass 11 a.m., burial 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Fountain, Colorado, with reception to follow at American Legion 6685 Southmoor Drive, Fountain, CO.
