Throughout history cemeteries have been portrayed to be dark and frightening. Tales of ghosts and monsters have stemmed from the hollowed grounds. This is not the case for the Friends of Fountain Fairview Cemetery. Friends of Fountain Fairview Cemetery is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2012 when vandalism befell the cemetery. They host tours and special events throughout the year on the history of Fountain and the importance of the preservation and protection of cemeteries.

On Saturday Sept. 24 the non-profit organization held a Cemetery Lantern Tour. The tour was to raise money to be able to restore the entrance archway and to educate locals of the past residents who resided in the Fountain Valley area. However, a few local folklores were mixed into Saturday's tour but it was more geared to the history aspect. The tour lasted one hour and visited six residents who were all portrayed by volunteers.
