The pumpkin patch at Venetucci Farm is ready for visitors this fall.

Venetucci Pumpkin Fest offers fall fun through October

Pumpkin Fest at Venetucci Farm runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 30 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Pumpkins are from Milberger Farm in Pueblo. Also available during the events are concession stand with apple cider and pumpkin muffins, fall decor and gift store, hayride, and several games like cornhole, bull lasso and tetherball. Saturdays will feature an artisan craft fair.

General admission is $5 for anyone over age 6; pumpkins are $10.

Pumpkin carving demo, Nightmare on Main Street

The Fountain UP events committee has another full schedule of Halloween events scheduled for this year, starting Oct. 14 with an all-day pumpkin carving demonstration by Willy Tuz, a Grand Junction-based fruit and ice sculptor who's been featured on the Food Network. This will be outside of City Hall.

Then, save the date for Fountain UP's second annual Nightmare on Main Street Dance on Oct. 29 from 5-9 p.m., also outside City Hall, 116 S. Main St. This will feature live music, costume contest, food vendors, and more.

Fountain to host Trunk or Treat

The city's annual Trunk or Treat will be held 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, east of City Hall in the parking lot and part of Missouri Avenue.

Fall Festival at the YMCA

Join the Fountain Valley YMCA for Fall Family Festival Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m.-noon. Includes Halloween Zumbathon, games, and more! This event is free and open to the public.

Cowboy Chili & Pie Cook-off and campfire sing-along

St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 Hwy. 85-87, invites the community to bring a favorite chili or pie to compare for prizes, or bring a side dish to share, on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. Wear your cowboy attire and join a campfire sing-along.

Pumpkin patch at petting farm

GingerSnap Rescue Ranch invites you to visit the animals at the petting farm and enjoy the pumpkin patch during the month of October. Hours are 9-5, Wednesday through Sunday. Pumpkins are $7. Trunk or Treat is Oct. 29 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Fee is $7; no cost for 1 and under.

Harvest Festival at Bradley Road Baptist Church

Bradley Road Baptist Church will have a Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 15, from noon-4 p.m. Located at 4395 Bradley Road in Security, the event will feature games and prizes, pictures, painting and more.

Fall festival to feature food, petting zoo, vendors

A family-friendly fall festival at Calvary Fellowship Fountain Valley on Oct. 15 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. will have a petting zoo, kettle corn, food trucks, baked goods, live music by Lawrence Shiroma, DJ Ivan, and local vendors. Calvary is at 4945 Cable Lane, southwest of Bradley Road and Alturas.

Horse rescue's fall festival scheduled for Oct. 15

Next Step Horse Rescue's annual Fall Festival is Sat. on Oct. 15 in Ellicott: 2222 N. Ellicott Hwy.

The festival will be 11 a.m.-4 p.m., with shelter tour of horses available for adoption noon-2 p.m.

The many fun activities include pony rides, train rides, food, petting zoo, face painting, pumpkin patch, and a kids costume contest at 1 p.m. The event is free to attend, and individual attractions are available for purchase.

Fountain Valley Shoppette holding Halloween House

Bring the family to the Fountain Valley Shoppette, 57 Widefield Blvd., on Oct. 22 from 6-8 p.m. for a pre-Halloween trick or treat event. WilPower Personal Training and other businesses in the center will have lots of goodies to hand out to visitors. Call 719-201-3330 for more information.

MRHS to host Trunk or Treat

Mesa Ridge High School will host a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 2-4 p.m. in the parking lot.

Pumpkin Carving Party at the Fountain Creek Nature Center

On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m.–noon, carve pumpkins at the Fountain Creek Nature Center to leave for the lighted trail at the Jack-o-Lantern event later that evening. Pre-scooped pumpkins, patterns, and carving tools provided. Return at night to see your creation in action along the trail (separate fee). Pumpkins may be retrieved after 7:30 p.m. $5 per pumpkin. American Legion Post 38 to host day of events

American Legion Post 38 will have a full afternoon and evening of events for all ages on Saturday, Oct. 29, including trunk or treat and a Cub Scout Halloween Carnival from 1-4 p.m .; a Haunted Garage limited access from 3-4 p.m., full access 5-10 p.m. (entrance is by donation only); and the Adult Halloween Party from 5-10 p.m., with potluck dinner, costume contest and live music.

Calvary to Light the Night on Halloween

The community is invited to Light the Night, a Gospel-centered Halloween alternative, from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 31 at Calvary Fellowship Fountain Valley, 4945 Cable Lane in Security (behind Pikes Peak Christian Church).

The event will feature free food and candy, s'mores, carnival games, bounces houses, live music, and a prayer tent.

Life Community Church Pumpkin bash

Enjoy a free Pumpkin Bash at Life Community Church on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., featuring games, candy, popcorn, cotton candy, snowcones and more. 800 Hackberry Drive in Security.

VFW adult Halloween Party Oct. 29

VFW Post 6461 in Fountain will have its adult Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 8 p.m. until all souls have departed!

Event will include a food truck sponsored by Sons of Darkness MC, costume contest, spooky shots, and DJ Thunder.

Post 6461 is located at 753 S. Santa Fe Ave.

Trunk or Treats in Stratmoor

Two Trunk-or-Treat events are planned in the Stratmoor Hills community Saturday, Oct. 29. The first will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Stratmoor Hills Elementary School, 200 Loomis Ave. Wear your costumes. The second will be 6-8 p.m. at the Stratmoor Hills Fire Department, 2160 B St. This event will include candy, prizes, games and a costume contest.

Nightmare on Painted Sky

Residents at 4791 Justeagen Drive in Security (Painted Sky neighborhood) invite community members to attend their free haunted house on Oct. 30-31. Doors open at 6 p.m. Sunday and Halloween night. Displays only on Sunday, and for the first hour on Halloween night, for the younger crowd. Live actors will amp up the spooky factor beginning at 7 p.m. on Halloween.

Haunted Yard tour in Fountain

Residents at 9587 Wind River Court in Fountain invite the community to their annual haunted yard tour 5:30-8:30 p.m. and weekends 4-9. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Fall events coming up at Security Nazarene

The community is invited to attend these events this month at Security Church of the Nazarene, located at 800 Hackberry Drive in Security.

Oct 22: Youth going to Corn Maze - All-day event, meet at the church by 9 a.m. Bring $16.

Oct 29: Pumpkin Bash 11 a.m.-2 p.m. - Free to all, bounce houses, pie the pastor, candy, games, hot dogs. 

Oct 29: Free Outside Movie 6-8 p.m. - Movie showing in the parking lot of the church. There will be snacks to purchase before the movie.

Local KOA hosting Trunk or Treat

Fall Festival

The Colorado Springs KOA at 8100 Bandley Drive in Fountain will host a Trunk or Treat Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6–8 p.m. Guest passes will be available for $20 per participant and include a popcorn, cotton candy and choice of a hot dog or slice of pizza. Also included is a haunted hayride, bounce pad, games, crafts, vendors, and face painting. Other offerings include pumpkin decorating, a cornhole tournament, funnel cake, caramel apples, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider.

Trunk or Treat at Good Shepherd UMC

Good Shepherd UM Church will have its annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4-6 p.m. Come join for free food, games and prizes. Trunk or Treating will be held outside starting at 5 p.m. (weather permitting).

Lorson Ranch Zombie Crawl

The Lorson Ranch Zombie Crawl 5K Run/Walk will be Saturday, Oct. 22, benefitting God's Pantry food bank. Please bring a dry or canned good or monetary donation for entry, and wear a costume. Registration is at 7:30 a.m., run begins at 8:30. There will be food and drinks for purchase. Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Men's, Women's, Kids' and Masters' divisions. Boo at the Zoo

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo hosts its annual Boo at the Zoo from 4-8:30 p.m. Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 28-31. Don your costume, bring your trick-or-treat bag and get ready for the “wildest” Halloween event in town! Boo at the Zoo is a unique way for families to trick-or-treat and enjoy Halloween festivities.

Salvation Army hosting Fall Festival

The Salvation Army Fountain Valley Corps will have a Fall Festival on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 5-7 p.m. at 208 Cunningham Drive, Security. Event includes community resources, costume contest, food, games and prizes.
