Good morning, I hope all are well and enjoyed the brisk cool air earlier this week. It is finally beginning to feel like fall weather. This week I want to continue with updates to the upcoming election schedule as well as mention a couple of openings on one of our county volunteer committees.

First, regarding elections, the El Paso County Clerk & Recorder's Office has opened five more Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPC) as of this past Monday. All VSPCs will be open through the week 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. According to the Clerk's office, the primary purposes of a Voter Center are to register new voters, update voter registrations, and issue ballots to voters who did not receive one in the mail. Voter Centers also offer ADA ballot marking devices for individuals with disabilities. However, if an individual prefers to vote in person they may also come to a Voter Center.

On November 4, another 17 VSPCs will open, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 5, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The final 14 VSPC locations will open on Monday, November 7, bringing the total to 37 that will be available through Election Day, November 8. All VSPCs will be open Monday, November 7 and Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. For complete information on the 2022 General Election visit http://www.epcvotes.com.

Also, the El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the El Paso County CSU Extension Advisory Committee. The CSU Extension Advisory Committee is currently seeking one member representing Family and Computer Science and one at-large member.

The mission of the El Paso County Extension Advisory Committee is to promote, advocate, and support the County's Cooperative Extension programs and staff by developing and implementing a strong marketing strategy that results in educating community officials and providing information flow between county citizens and the Cooperative Extension. The volunteer application is located https://bocc.bocc.elpasoco.com/volunteer. Applications for the open position are due by November 11, 2022. Thanks, and have a great week, everyone.
