Aiyana Mitchell celebrates her signing with Vanderbilt University on Nov. 9 at Fountain-Fort Carson High School. The senior plays volleyball and basketball. She received more than 12 D1 full-ride basketball scholarships. Mitchell's family has been in the Fountain community for many years. Her mother Janell is from Fountain, and her father Ontercio is a veteran originally from San Diego. She comes from the Coalson and Rolf families.
