Children's book author featured at Meet the Author Series

Dian Curtis Regan will be the guest speaker at the next Meet the Author event hosted by Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District.  She will talk about her writing career and the “gift of reading” for kids at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the East Library, 5550 N. Union Blvd.

She is the author of more than 60 books for young readers, ranging from picture books to young adult novels. Her bestselling books include a mystery series from Scholastic, Ghost Twins, and her popular Space Boy and the Space Pirate was a finalist for the Colorado Book Award, and the winner of a Crystal Kite Award from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Other popular titles include Princess Nevermore, Monster of the Month Club series, The World According to Kaley, and Rocky Cave Kids.

Admission is free to Friends members and to all children 18 and younger.  For adult non-Friends members, admission is $5 per person.
