Good morning, I hope all are well. Unfortunately it has been a difficult past several days. Many in our Colorado Springs and El Paso County community are mourning the loss of life from this weekend's senseless act of violence in Colorado Springs. I ask for prayers for all those lives lost and for a quick and full recovery for those injured and for those friends and families of the victims. This week of course is also Thanksgiving, and so I do wish all a day of great joy with your family and friends. Let us remember all the great blessings we do enjoy and have, and strive to live up to being great neighbors, friends and family, together.

As we near the end of our calendar year, perhaps you might consider helping out in 2023 on one of our many El Paso County committees and volunteer boards. El Paso County is always looking for residents to share their skills, talents and time on the County's numerous boards and commissions. I encourage residents to get engaged in and learn about the various functions of county government by volunteering on a board or commission through the El Paso County Volunteer Program. To learn more about the El Paso County Volunteer Program, visit http://www.elpasoco.com and click the tab Get Involved, Volunteer.

Finally, El Paso County is always looking for great new employees. We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits. For more information, please visit https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/ElPasoCountyCo.

God bless and enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving.
