Bingo Night!

Join us @ Roll up (301 Main St.) on Friday, Dec. 9, from 6-7 p.m. for Bingo Night! This family-friendly event is free to play and you might just win prizes from local businesses!! 

D&D One Shot — Dec. 10, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

There’s no “Claus for Concern” at this Christmas themed One-Shot! These “one-shot” sessions are compact games, completed in one afternoon! Registration is REQUIRED due to space limitations, so please call 719-391-3190 or email [email protected] to reserve your spot!

Fiber Friends (formerly Book Knits) - Usually meet the 2nd and 4th Saturday (December dates vary)  10 a.m.-noon. Calling all knitters, crocheters, quilters, embroiderers, or anyone else with a passion for needlework! Come join our Fiber Friends group! Swap patterns, stories, and tips with this unique and lively club. Everyone is welcome, from seasoned pros to those who just want to learn. Don’t miss out!!

NEW!! Tech Hour — First Four Mondays of Every Month, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Have a question about technology? Want to learn more about computers? Did you get a new device that has you scratching your head? Come see Katie for one-on-one computer and tech help! There is no question too big or small. No appointment necessary! 

Virtual Trivia Night – Friday, Dec. 16, 7-8 p.m. Do you fancy yourself a trivia buff?!? Know a little about a lot?? Play solo or as a team - all ages and knowledge levels welcome. Winners will receive gift cards to local businesses! Go to our website or email [email protected] to sign up!

Holiday Food Drive — It’s the season of giving! Donate canned goods to our food drive for our local Connections 4 Life Center through Jan. 14. Pasta sauce, canned meats and veggies, & soups are greatly needed! 

FOR KIDS:

Preschool Storytime — Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays @ 10:30 am. Join us each week for new stories, crafts, friends, and fun! 

Little Bookworms Storytime (0-3 yr olds) — Thursdays @ 9:30 am. Although all ages are welcome at our preschool storytimes, we invite our youngest patrons to this special program geared just for them! We focus on songs, movement, and having fun!

Messy Monday — Dec. 5 @ 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Children ages 2-5 and their caregiver are invited to this fun and messy once a month program! We focus on the process and the product as we explore paint, sand, clay, and more! Sign up is required for this program. Due to its messy nature, we keep attendance numbers low. Grab and Go Crafts — A new children’s craft will be available each week, while supplies last. 

FOR TEENS:

T.A.B. — Dec. 6, 3:30-4 p.m. Join Security Public Library’s Teen Activity Board! Enjoy free food. Earn volunteer hours. Influence teen collections and activity development.

Teen Activity Night — Dec. 13, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Come participate in this month’s activity—planned by teens, for teens.

Gingerbread Competition — Teens are welcome, any time we are open Dec. 19-31, to build a gingerbread house out of materials available, for free, at the library. You can enter your designs into our competition to win one of several gift card prizes for creativity, aesthetics, use of materials, and/or best overall. Questions?
