We had some readers contact us to find out why the county paved portions of Fontaine Boulevard (east of Widefield/Security boulevards) and Grinnell Boulevard (north of Bradley Road) as pictured. "Sure is making for a bumpy ride," one reader said.
Not to worry! The work done last week is preliminary, and it will be smoothed out soon.
"This section of roadway is part of our 2022 Additional Funding Roads Resurfacing," said Scott Anderson, an El Paso County communications and public relations manager. "Wide-crack repair was completed to prepare the roadway for paving. Paving is scheduled to be complete 12/6, weather permitting."
