Good day, everyone. I hope all enjoyed a great Christmas and that 2023 brings you a wonderful year. I want to take this last column to thank Fountain Valley News for all their decades of work and support to the community.

I remember all the great events covered by the newspaper and am thankful for all the years of them allowing me to write Commissioner's Corner and highlighting El Paso County. I fondly recall one of my early columns where I wrote about the beauty of our Spring weather and the region's mountain wildflowers (I love columbines). And I always looked forward to writing the holiday columns, especially those relating to patriotism, Christmas, and Easter. I appreciate the opportunity to have been able to write weekly.
